Councilor Armstrong. Thank you. I think this is something that we should actually bring. To. A dinge item for a GPC to discuss how we deal with question period at committees. As well as how we deal with delegation. So I think we need a further discussion around it. But at the time, this is what Mr. Carr recommended. That. The committee could make a motion requesting somebody come to speak to them, that it would come to counsel and council would make that decision. If we want to defer this, I think perhaps could be deferred for GPc. I don't know. That's up to. How people feel, but it's something that I think we have to get sorted out and. Something I think would be, from my Councilor Armstrong. I think if this passes, I think, and I agree with what councilor Hammond said, the place to come with your concerns is the council table first, and then if the council. And this is. How it used to be. Correct me if I'm wrong with scurry, but if we felt that it wouldn't benefit. We used to refer the committee or refer the delegation to one of the committees, so I agree. That it needs to be cessed out more, so I'll be voting in favor.

I'm not going to support the deferral. We are a solution in search of a problem. This has been an issue for the city previously, or whether it might be an issue in the future. If in fact, the Newcastle Community association does attend the public safety committee meeting to share their concerns. I know they haven't. They haven't attended. No, I understand that. That's my point. If it becomes an issue. With other associations requesting to come. And appear before committees, then I'll be prepared to look at it. But for now, we've got one association representing a neighborhood that's been severely impacted as we all. Well know. By the housing that the provincial government placed there some years ago and. I would like to see them have the opportunity to speak, so that's my position, but.

Thank you, worship. Again, I view this in the same way that I view the parent advisory committee. Coming. And speaking about road safety around Bayview, it's those who are perhaps a little bit more politically savvy, who understand the committees exist and understand they can get on agendas. That are having their voices heard, and I don't think that's good process. So I hear you that this is a neighborhood that is impacted. I could give you five other neighborhoods that would like in on this conversation.
