Second. And just to speak to it may not be the best wording for a motion. I would just really like to know what other communities are doing and how they're approaching the alternative approval process. I know some of them. Allow. Submissions. Do they also. Require signatures, et cetera. So I'm just looking for what the best practices are. In other community and how that's worked in other communities. So simply looking for a report and recommendations for Staff
say it is a provincial legislation. There are guidelines, there are information. I've not been overly swayed by the complaints. I say this for the public record, by people who complain that it's a difficulty. To download. A piece of paper, so to speak. Form off your computer. And then actually mail it or deliver it to City Hall. So with respect, as they say, I'm going to vote for
I think we're also sort of in a different. World than we were even a couple of years ago, with social media changing so much with people not being able to share news links with algorithms, not showing people. That the City's page, and the information that we're posting there. So we can't rely on the same channels to get the information out. Less people are reading the newspaper. And when it comes to downloading a form off the Internet and printing it out, a lot of people a don't have access to a computer or the Internet. It's quite expensive now or a printer. So I think that's why I'm interested in this motion just to see if there's other ways that people may be able to get the information. Thank you. No further discussion. All those in favor.
