Paul Manly Yes

Manley. Yeah. I'm just, uh, I have some concerns around, um, telecom lamb Aboriginal friendship centre not being included in this list. And I, I would note that in their application, they identify that they have applied for funding BC housing has abandoned a whole bunch of organisations. They've abandoned a whole bunch of people. This is a really important agency that the looks out for people on the, you know, looks out for indigenous youth. In this case, you know, indigenous young women between the ages of 17 and 29. Who've experienced violence and they're trying to read, you know, some of whom are trying to regain and retain legal custody of their children. Um, I understand we have rules. That they have to have active funding or operating agreement with PC housing or another government agency. But I just feel like the BC government is abandoning organisations at this time. And I'd hate to see an organisation like this, uh, be punished because of it. And, um, you know, in their application, they do identify that this is the case. Um, so I, I would like to see us make, make, uh, an exception to the rule, uh, in this particular case. I know telecom laylum has a youth safe house. They have youth and elder housing. They've got great projects. Uh, they've got, um, housing for young moms. And now this housing, I think should be included in this tax exemption process.
