That is a dark section of the inn corridor for sure. But typically people that are riding. Into the evening hours. Have the appropriate gear and the lights on their bikes, and so if they are active riders, Some of these other projects, especially around pedestrian safety, I think could definitely benefit from this funding. So I think it's money better spent and I hope council will support it. Thank you.

Erin Hemmens Yes

Which is that this money will be better dispersed, serving more people than those who access the enn. I'm curious about the timeline, though, for completion in 2025. I don't. Think that's realistic, and I'd. Be curious to hear from worship. Councilor Himmons. Thank you. I'm still on the timeline. That's a serious influx of cash into that program for 2026. Again, I'd like to hear staff comment. On the timeline. Thank you. Mr. Sims. Mr. Rose. Will take it as it goes. If I may. As I stated, I'm not opposed. But I also don't want to just pile more stuff onto a long list and just. Have a list of things that aren't getting done. Okay.

Ian Thorpe No

I guess. It was. I would prefer that we go ahead with the Enn project, which we have discussed before. And rather than put this money. Into some unknown. Projects for future I see the Enn as. A very important recreational facility, which it's extremely well used. And I feel that it also does speak to pedestrian safety for the users of that trail. In the early morning or evening hours when it's very dark in places. So I don't think I can support the motion on the floor. Thank you.

Ben Geselbracht Yes

Councilor Gesselbrock, then councilor east beer. Great. Thank you. Although I'd love to see the lighting on the path, I do think that at the stage of the game. That level of investment in active transportation. Could go farther with the backlog. Of. Community requests and needs for.

Hilary Eastmure No

I'm not going to support this because I have been hearing about plans to light this. Section of the enn for a really long time, and I know that. It's a well used area, and we see people traveling in the dark, and that section. Of highway is really. It's not lit at all, so it's very, very dark. At night. And so I really actually see this as a key section of our pedestrian and active transportation that.

Leonard Krog Yes

My observation of the trail. Particularly at nighttime, is there are lots of adjacent buildings, et cetera, and various other lighting. Lighting from cars. The likelihood of some horrible altercation involving a speeding motor vehicle is impossible on the Enn trail, whereas the other projects that the staff have identified over the years strike me as being more worthy of safety, as I said, and I don't want to sound like a cynical old guy from Coombs, BC. But when I grew up, there was no such thing as street. Lighting. If you rode a bike at night or walked somewhere at night, you either chose to walk. In the dark, or you took a flashlight, you wore clothing, you put a light on your bicycle. Whatever. You took some steps to protect yourself at night, so for what it's worth, I. Just think that the better bang for the buck, safety wise, is in what, Councilor Brown's? Motion suggests, so I will be supporting. It. Anyone else?
