Hilary Eastmure Yes

Councilor Eastmeer. Thank you. I appreciate councilor Brown bringing this forward as I had made the nation at the finance committee to increase it by this relatively small amount in respect for the work that these neighborhood associations do and recognizing that they do a lot with a relatively small amount of money. So I was disappointed to see it fail at committee, given how little.

Ian Thorpe No

Thank you, Councilor Thorpe. Thank you, worship. I have not changed my opinion. From the committee meeting where this was discussed at length. And yes, I agree, it is a very small amount of money, but I think there is a principle involved here that. We set, council set a budget for this neighborhood association grant program, which is relatively new. The community associations could apply for up to $1,000. It was by no means guaranteed. They would receive $1,000. They all received very close to that. In fact. And just for the sake of rounding up to an even number, I can't support this. When the associations are not complaining that they're not getting enough money, they're quite happy as far as I have been informed. And on top of that, We have also voted to review. The grant guidelines for this next year. And altered the budget if we feel it is necessary. So again, it's a very small amount of money, but just on principle, I don't think.
