Yes. There were significant changes recommended by the design advisory panel. It does seem like many of them have been addressed. It simply didn't come up as a topic of discussion at the design panel. For it to come back or not. It just wasn't addressed, and I don't. Know. If that was. I'm not sure exactly why that was. But seeing the changes. I'm happy to see this proceed. I know that it's tough to move a project like this through the process, and they seem to have addressed. A lot of the concerns were around. The color choice, and it has been significantly brightened, I would say. But if council looks at the report and looks at the changes and would like the design panel. To take another crack at it. I would certainly support that as well.

Janice Perrino Yes

There it is. Thank you, your worship. I just want to. Say this is such an important project. And I'm so pleased that the design committee had a good look at it and could help to improve. The facade of it. So that was good news. But I think the most important thing is this. Will put rental units available to get people to live and work, possibly in the downtown area, to go to our theaters, use the restaurants, use the cafes, and for goodness sake, shop in the downtown. And that's what keeps our downtown vibrant. I'm just thrilled to see this, and I hope that we all support this, and I can't wait for you to get a shovel in the ground, Mr. Mitchell. That's the way to go forward. We want this done.

Ian Thorpe Yes

But overall, I certainly will support this project.

now. Before we go. Thank you, worship. Through you to Mr. Holme. I notice there's significant recommendations by the sign panel. So I was just curious why this did not go back to them. Unless it did, and I'm just missing it for an additional. Once over just due to the typically don't see that many by the panel. Yeah.

Thank you. Through your worship to Councilor Brown. So the panel didn't ask for it to come back. My understanding there was quite a bit of discussion and obviously quite a bit of feedback that has been largely, I think, incorporated into the redesign. I think I could suggest that maybe if she's so inclined, Councilor Eastmere could, as a member of the design panel, I'll speak to that further.

I believe our aim is to start construction in sort of between q one and q two next. Year. We still have the building permit process to go through, but our aim is to begin within the first half of next year. And a process for how long it will take to build. About 24 to 30 months is the

There was a note about strengthening the design of the townhouse units, and they looked mostly the same to me.
Speaker answered
Can you speak to what changed there? Certainly. The townhouse units and through the. Chair. My apologies. Through the charit councilmer, the townhouses were initially single one bedroom lofts. When it came. To the advisory design panel. So two major changes happened. We made those two bedroom townhouses instead. Of one bedroom wasps. So that was a significant change. The second. Is. You're right. There wasn't a lot that we could do to make. It stronger. But we did change the materials, and we did change the colors to make it lighter. With a more emphasis on making sure that those doors and those entryways had sort of clearly separated
