Thank you, Chair, through you, to Ms. Bec. The dog part of this, is it going to be on-leash or is there an off-leash part of this park? We're not going to let dogs run around with the bird nesting areas?
City staff answered
is an on-leash park and there is potential for conflict with off-leash designation of this park with nesting birds the agricultural land there is potential for the agricultural land to move into different type of crops currently it's a hay field but we do have the potential of creating different type of farm crops throughout and so currently it is an on-leash

dog park. Crops that work with flooding. Is there, was there, there was a study done on a side channel?
City staff answered
Is that something that's in common for salmon habitat? Yeah it's actually an overwintering and let me see if I can go back to it. I'm ready to go back there. So if you see at the bottom that south circle it's actually a potential viewing platform that would oversee kind of where that offering side channel off wintering habitat would be. And there is the potential to provide one just to support fish habitat, amphibian habitat. And that would be one of those items if we did move forward that would require the ALC non-farm use application.

Thank you, Chair. And a question through you to staff, to Ms. Beck, sorry. I'm trying to remember because I've walked my dog there too. It's a great spot. But I'm just trying to remember whether or not there's good signage to explain to people why they need to have their dogs on leashes, particularly because of the sensitivity. I can tell you that I don't see too many dogs leashed walking there because it's so big, right, that they can really let loose. And so it's – I don't – people would leash, I think, if they realize how sensitive the area is. That's my first question. And then the second question is, you actually have to go to the Agricultural Land Commission when you plan to use some of the land for agricultural purposes for a portion of it to be park is that correct no thank you for your question
City staff answered
through the chair it there are certain elements of the park design that require a cultural land commission to do a non farm use application so whenever you remove soil or add soil you will need to get an out you do an application for this the same with interpretive signage so you're asking about signs to say this sensitive area so signage raised platforms anything that would be typically in a farm would require an application for non-farm use so we do have the desire to do interpretive signage throughout and that would go through the application that we would present at the ALC excellent work really
