It's been a request for many legion members. Uh, the reason for the delay was we are waiting for command. To make sure that there was policies in place as the concerns at different regions about different designs. So now that we have that, we're bringing it forward for, um. Uh, working with the Legion. And I would like to note that we're not saying that the city's paying for it. We're looking at different funding options. It will be brought forward at a later date to the city.

Ian Thorpe Yes

Thank you. Councillor Thorpe. Thank you very much for worship. If I may, I just want to thank Councillor Armstrong for bringing this forward. And I, in full disclosure, uh, will tell everybody if they don't already know I am a Legion member. So I think Councillor Armstrong and others be as well. Uh, and I know the members that I have spoken to are very excited about this possibility, especially considering that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Canadian allegiance.

Ben Geselbracht Yes

Thank you. Thank you. Councillor Gesselbrock and then Councillor Manley. Thanks, Mayor, through you. I'm definitely in support of this. I think it's, yeah, exciting to honour veterans and have the crosswalk painted. And I'm noticing. Painted crosswalks appearing in other neighbourhoods. And then you've got one in the central inimo. And I think it's something that, um, we're probably going to experience more requests. And desire to have pain in crosswalks and pretty cool to have, uh, you know, that be part of our city identity. Um, and, you know, I a hundred percent support this going forward and also, you know, I think we will probably be experiencing more requests and, you know, maybe having something to formalize process in places as things go forward. Um, so yeah, excited to see this happen.

Paul Manly Yes

I think the Senate from Dallas Square is a perfect place to do this. I was under the understanding though that we were working on a plan to redevelop that part of the street. Like isn't there going to be a redesign in this area at some point?
